Catherine's shoes

"I am so honoured Catherine that you, albeit updated in style naturally, are influenced by me, it is very touching. It is
these sort of gestures that I am sure make William enormously proud. I so love seeing you both together and now of
course with Baby George but you have made me so happy mending William's broken heart. It took a very special lady to
do that Catherine and he has been fortunate enough to have found that special someone in you and how blessed Baby
George is to be born to such loving and devoted parents.


I fully realise that going in as an outsider would not have been easy though William I know would have made your rite of
passage as easy as possible. Never the less you did have to lose the freedom that you had in certain respects in order to
be with the man you love but that is the point, he is and you consequently chose to make those necessary sacrifices for
him; indeed for you both. Now it is so easy to see that you are loved Catherine by the people; you are "The People's
Duchess".

               With love from an enormously grateful mother - in - law and that's often a rare breed!
