Diana in a dress in 1997 that was never worn publicly. It was only worn for
a photo shoot for Paris Match magazine.  This photo graced their
December 1997 front cover. It was designed by Diana. It was accessorized
by the Spencer Tiara which had been intended as a bit of a jab at the
Monarchy for having been robbed of her H.R.H. title.  It was as well
purposely designed in black with a low cut to echo the dress worn by her
to Goldsmith's Hall in 1981 when first engaged to Charles.  It was that
dress which was Diana's first royal faux-pas and one that the members of
the family  had tsked-tsked over though no one had offered her any
fashion advice, such as that black is worn only for mourning by the royal
family.
